The lymm colts academy

Lymm RFC has launched its Colts Academy which combines its Senior Colts and Junior Colts and introduces its U16s into a structured management and coaching framework. Mark O'Callaghan will take on the role of Academy Manager whilst First XV player and Lymm HS teacher Lee Pickles will become Head Coach of the Academy. Lee will head a coaching structure that includes fellow First XV players Tom Hughes, Adam Fletcher and Ollie Higginson with Scott Harrison providing Strength and Conditioning leadership and Senior Squad physios Helen and Emily on hand to ease those aches and pains.
This represents another exciting step in the development of rugby at Lymm RFC and will provide an even stronger link between the Senior and Junior sections of the club, both of which have enjoyed major successes in their own right over recent years.

time to celebrate

Our grand opening of the new pitches –
4/5th September 2010 Planning for the Grand Opening is well underway. The timetable as discussed so far is: Saturday 4th September The U14 game against Ripon will precede the 1st XV game v Middlesborough (our first game at Level 5).
A lunch for around 120 people will be held in a marquee between the existing 1st team pitch and the new pitches. This will allow lunchers to watch the match from the open marquee.
Between the above two games, a brief opening ceremony will take place.
Sunday 5th September On the Sunday there will be a series of m & j matches against York plus training for most age groups, followed by a colts or junior colts match. Marquee will stay up.

dog vigilantes .....

Dog muck is in evidence on the new pitches. Can all members please be vigilant in helping to keep dogs off our land.
