the heist - for interest
Earlier this year Lymm Panto performers Sara Worton, Paul Rigby and Dr Brian Hope helped me produce a short comedy film entitled ‘The Heist’
I am delighted to say it has been accepted as one of only six entries into Warrington’s ‘Longshot Film Festival’. This means it is to be screened publicly on Friday 26/10/12 at Winmarleigh House in Warrington. If anyone would like to watch the team in action tickets are available by clicking on the link here
As Sara might say when she is being interviewed by Jonathan Ross; ‘Yes Jonathan, I have a play and film coming out shortly! It’s been a very busy year!!’

This website
Mike Sanderson of Penrith RFC made a brilliant observation about our website as follows:
LYMM website - always worth a log on :-
over the weekend my log on was rewarded with a picture of Jim Knowles along side an advert for a senior dating website,
today's log on rewarded with a picture of Jim Knowles beside an advert for funeral services.
what will tomorrow bring??

Lymm stay top - just!
On a very wet pitch Lymm and Wirral Senior Colts produced a superb game of high quality rugby. Wirral lead 10-0 at halftime but a spirited comeback from Lymm finally wore them down scoring with the final play of the game to make it 10-10. The excellent conversion from 10 metres in from touch by Rhys gave Lymm a narrow victory, 12-10 (tries by Aaron and Jack W).

rugbytots
Andy Leach says:
Rugbytots is being run and organised by Michele Buckley, one of our U5 Coaching team, and whilst not a Lymm RFC activity, is one we are happy to promote. Michele has done this in the South before (Berkshire and North Hampshire) where she had around 700 children signed up at one time. It can only help promote rugby at the very young age groups and drive our membership at these young ages.

Some words from Michele
Rugbytots is a specifically designed play programme using the multiple skills of Rugby to create a fun and enjoyable environment whilst developing basic core motor skills.
Classes are split into two age groups:-
2 to 3 ½ years - Encourages children to use core skills i.e. balance, agility and co-ordination, as well as sharing, taking turns and working together. Classes include catching, passing, scoring tries and kicking.
3 ½ to 5 years - Builds upon basic skills learned, and looks at more specific skills used in Rugby i.e. finding space, passing the ball backwards, scoring a well worked try, and much more.
Classes start at Lymm High School on Saturday 3rd November.
Anybody booking a place during November will automatically receive a free class. Alternatively, it is possible to attend a free taster class, prior to booking, subject to availability. Anybody wanting to attend a taster will need to contact me in advance, so I can confirm there is still space.

new shelters on pitch 3
Can teams please use the new shelters as the starting point for pitch use because the other side of the pitch is very wet, with drainage coming down the embankment.
This is something for general awareness, not just Juniors,3's &4's. Visiting teams also need some firm but polite direction to use shelters/ technical areas. Can captains and coaches please take this as their responsibility to ensure that these common sense rules are applied politely but firmly.

is that a result?
Was it a bad photo? was the photographer doing a handstand and it was 9_13?
No the scorer had an abberation or so. The final score was not 9-13, it was 31 - 6.
He will recover.

Touch Rugby at Lymm
We would like invite any interested members and friends (male and female) to join us on Thursday evenings at Crouchley Lane for 75 minutes (8-15pm to 9-30pm) of Social Touch Rugby.
Each Thursday we operate a VERY informal, ‘Turn up and Play’ Touch Rugby session. We mark out the pitches, provide balls, team bibs and provide referees all you have to do is turn up.
Teams are picked randomly and games are very definitely ‘social’. We have the space and equipment to organise additional ‘elite games’ if required.
We will be organising fixtures with other Cheshire touch teams and will have Guest Coaches from the RFU and England Touch helping out throughout the season
For those who want to progress further, there is an organised structure from club, regional divisions through to full international, with a World Cup every 4 years.
We do hope that you’ll pass this invitation around the club and can assure you that everyone will be made very welcome. Please come down, even if it’s just to see how we run the evening.
The clubhouse and changing rooms will be open.
Best Regards
David and Rono
